History & Approach

Individuals working directly with children and families have the skills, knowledge, and dispositions needed to include and support all family members, especially those historically excluded from or underserved by family services.

Families Struggle Together

Love, Dad increases the capacity of organizations and individuals working directly with families; develops and disseminates practices that support whole family development; and advocates for local, state, and national system and policy changes that improve services for families.

In a family, no one is well until all are well

Families benefit most when all parents — including fathers — are actively involved in the care and development of their children. Many systems and services that serve families focus on just one parent. They are missing opportunities to support all parents in gaining competence and confidence.
